Terms of Service
Halo · Last updated: March 6, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Halo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Halo media player application (“App”) and any related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by NEET (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Halo. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. The Services
Halo is a personal media player. It lets you organize and play media from sources that you provide — including IPTV/Xtream accounts, M3U/M3U8 playlists, direct stream URLs, local folders, SMB/NAS shares, and WebDAV servers. Halo does not provide, host, sell, or supply any media, channels, or content of its own. Halo is solely a tool for playing content you already have the lawful right to access. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
4. Your Sources & Your Responsibility
You are solely and fully responsible for the sources you add to Halo and for the content those sources contain. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to access and play any content through the sources you add. You must not use Halo to access, stream, or distribute content that you do not have the legal right to use, or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services in a lawful and respectful manner. You will not:
- Add, play, or distribute any content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Services to violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or entity.
- Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or other harmful software.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services or any related system, or circumvent any security feature.
- Use the Services for any unlawful commercial purpose.
6. Zero Tolerance & Content Moderation
Halo maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive use of the App. Because the content played in Halo comes from sources you add, moderation focuses on those sources:
- Reporting: Any source can be reported from within the App using the clearly accessible “Report Content” option. Reports are sent to our team for review.
- Instant removal: You can delete any source at any time, which immediately removes it and its content from your library.
- Developer review: All reports are reviewed by the NEET team within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in action against the offending source or account, including removal and, where applicable, ejection of the responsible user.
Content or behaviour that is offensive, inappropriate, illegal, infringing, or otherwise objectionable will not be tolerated, and accounts associated with such use may be suspended or permanently terminated without prior notice.
7. Accounts
Some features may require an account (for example, Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Credentials for your media sources are stored securely on your device and are never shared with us.
8. Subscriptions & Fees
Halo offers an optional Premium subscription purchased through the Apple App Store, which unlocks unlimited sources and additional library features. Free use is limited to one active source. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Payment is charged to your Apple account, and your purchase is governed by Apple’s terms in addition to these Terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of Halo is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Your media sources, their credentials, and your library are processed primarily on your device.
10. Intellectual Property & License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. All intellectual property rights in the App (including trademarks, logos, designs, and code) remain the property of NEET or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services (such as Apple services, metadata providers, and the sources you connect). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or legality of any third-party service or source. Your use of third-party services and sources is governed by their respective terms.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY SOURCE YOU CONNECT WILL FUNCTION OR BE LAWFUL.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEET AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY CONTENT ACCESSED THROUGH SOURCES YOU ADD, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NEET and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, the sources and content you add, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
